SICARIO
Purveyor Underground, Late Night Jackin (Toronto)
Sicario has been rocking crowds from coast to coast for the last 20+ yrs. Sicario started out in the Drum & Bass scene back in the early 90's with his little brother (the soon to be famous DJ Slip of Vinyl Syndicate) and continued to smash it everywhere they went. In his first year of university, when he went and saw Hippe & Halo he was bitten by the House bug and decided to go his own way. Over the years Sicario has played alongside Jason Hodges, Hatiras, Flipside, and Demuir to name a few. His releases on Late Night Jackin, Pluralistic Records, Purveyor Underground and Frosted Recordings should be an indication that Sicario means business.

VEEV
Nervous Records, Simma Black, Large Music (Halifax)
Over the last 20 years, there has been a surge of Canadian underground artists breaking on to the global electronic music scene. Some of these names have reached worldwide status and have dominated the commercial side of today's household names while others have maintained their titles as full underground entrepreneurs both in the studio and on the club party circuits. Big cities come to mind when thinking of the origins of most of these names, but Canada has no shortage of DJ/Producers from smaller areas of the nation doing it just as big as the main city artists.
Atlantic Canada, Halifax Nova Scotia to be exact, is home to one of these national treasures. Evan Fancy a.k.a. Veev is one of the most prominent artists for underground house music in the east of the country. Veev has been involved in House Music for 15 years as a DJ and shortly after his beginning started producing where he has created himself from a fusion of Deep, Tech, Soulful, and Funky House Music. This shows with his direction while performing and creating in the studio or on stage.
Having had releases on countless labels throughout the early years, it was in 2014 that Veev started to make his mark on the scene with an eight-track LP being released on American (Vegas) label Disco Legends titled "Part 1" it was here that he began to gain global attention and soon after was invited to release original productions and remixes for house music heavyweights Gene Farris, Low Steppa, Jesse Saunders and Patrick M. You can also find his work on Nervous, Guesthouse, Instereo, Black Crack Recordings, Mood Funk and Nihil Youngs Italian imprint Frequenza, and many more.
Naturally, touring has been a major part of Veev's career with many seasons spent at WMC in Miami where he has played regularly and has also thrown events with artists like Doc Link, Gramaphondizie, DJ Q, J Paul Ghetto, and more. It is here that he has rubbed shoulders with some of the best true American house music artists and also from around the world alike. He has shared stages with Jonny Fiasco, Jason Hodges, DJ Dan, Mark Farina, Inland Nights, and Defected's Sonny Fodera to name a few. Veev has also been graced with the honor of touring and DJing in the world-famous Mediterranean's Balearic Island of Ibiza Spain. He has headlined shows at Tulip as well as the legendary party destination Bora Beach Club plus OceanBeat performing with veteran Vocal Diva Barbara Tucker and Dj Q. It has been world-class stages such as these that have been the setting for his talent and musical exposure.
After the release of three very successful official remix's; one for Jesse Saunders — Kaleidoscope on his legendary label Broken Records, Kevin Yost & Peter Funk on the track titled 'Return To The Deep' on i! Records, and finally a remix that deserves a full page write up is a remix for the FIRST house record ever pressed. Veev was honored to be personally asked by the Originator of House, Jesse Saunders to remix the legendary track On & On, on Jes Say Records which came out January 22 which fell on the 35th anniversary of its release.
In 2019 Veev worked with the famous Andy Vargas, member and lead singer of the 'Carlos' Santana Band on a record called "Higher Calling" which solidified Veev as a producer who bridges genre gaps and show that he can work in the studio with seasoned professionals. Veev is currently working with Aaron K. Gray an NYC Vocalist to complete a Soulful House EP filled with instrumentation and live instrument recordings. While he has been working with the "Originator Of House Music" on a few projects proceeding the success of his remix, including solo work and Collaborations with Jesse for his label Broken Records.
In 2020, Veev started the year off with a big release on Simma Black, a collaboration between Soledrifter & Veev which features a Chicago vocalist and spoken word artist Angel-A that held #2 position for weeks. Veev also released an EP on Large Music based in Chicago. The standout track from the EP, "I'm Close" which features Veev on vocals and all things production and composition hit #2 in Deep House on Traxsource and has been featured on over 40 DJ Charts from the biggest names in House Music.
The middle of a pandemic didn't stop Veev in 2021, with three massive releases. One on King Street Sounds where Veev released a Deep Soulful EP titled "Transgressions" which excelled in the charts! Following the successful release, Veev released a real Classic Deep House Single on Cueca Recordings, a single titled " Do What You Do" complete with a Deep Mix made by Veev himself! The Single received love globally and entered the Deep and Soulful charts! Next Veev teamed up with an artist hailing from Finland, Singer-Songwriter & Music Producer, Heidi B for a Single titled " It Was I" release also was equipped with a Deep Mix from Veev. This release came out on the Australia label Bobbin Head Music.
Lots more coming from this ever-evolving artist. A bright future is an understatement for one of Canada's best. Make sure to follow Veev on all the socials to stay in tune with what's coming next!

MAX HEBERT
Frosted Recordings (Montreal)
Montreal DJ Max Hebert started his musical journey as a young vinyl junkie at the age of 14, constantly squatting record shops from Montreal to New-York city for rare vinyl collectibles and diversified styles of music such as House, Disco, Techno, Funk, Hip-Hop and Break Beats.
His passion for House Music intimately has connected him with the vitality of Montreal’s underground scene since the early nineties, all by contributing throughout the years to the success of legendary local venues, such as Playground, Sona and of course, world famous Stereo where he got his first ever professional gig at a Defmix party in 2003, handed to him personally by non-other than Grammy Award winner and back then Club owner, Mr. David Morales. From there, building his own following, he co-presented the infamous monthly Move events, showcasing a unique Underground House sound in Montreal, with renowned guest DJs on rotation such as Mark Farina, Derrick Carter and DJ Heather to name a few.
Hitting the charts since 2008, Max Hebert has been piling-up musical projects ever since, collaborating with different and well-established Underground House labels such as Phil Week’s Robsoul Recordings, Late Night Jackin, Natural Rhythm Music, and Greenhouse Recordings. In September 2013, Max founded his own Label, Frosted Recordings. In addition to releasing cutting edge House Music cuts and other various styles of Music, he also co-presents events on a regular basis, mainly at Newspeak in his home town, in partnership with one of Montreal's main event Production companies, NEON.
His distinct way of fast paced mixing and his capability of blending in West Coast Deep House sound into Chicago’s Funk and Jazzy influences, with his 20 years of experience behind the decks, makes this turntablist a definite sure shot when it comes down to dance floor destruction. Often traveling and spreading the love between major cities on the Canadian East coast since the early nineties, his magic has brought him to other countries such as Britain, Scotland and Japan.
Max has performed alongside the likes of major names of the Industry, such as Derrick Carter, Mark Farina, DJ Sneak, Miss Honey Dijon, Sebastien Leger, Inland Knights, Detroit Swindle, Kevin Saunderson, Martin Solveig, Jason Hodges, DJ Heather, Sonny Fodera, Diz, DJ Dan, Natural Rhythm, Demuir, David Morales, Hector Romero, James Curd, Chris Liebing, Way Out West, Guy Mantzur, Victor Calderone, Joeski, Onionz, The Crystal Method, Floating Points, John Howard, DJ Lulu & Gas, Jay Tripwire, Raoul Belmans and many more.
